Negros Congressman Ignacio " Iggy" Arroyo Died in London

LONDON, England - It was not just liver cirrhosis that caused the death of Rep. Ignacio "Iggy" Arroyo, a source has revealed.
He died apparently from multiple organ failure, sepsis, pneumonia, and chronic liver disease, according to information received by ABS-CBN Europe News Bureau.
The source said Arroyo was still breathing and had a heart beat.
However, the brother-in-law of former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo was no longer responding to stimulus and had cold extremities.
IIggy Arroyo's blood sugar reading was low and had high acid level in his blood, the source added.
The London Clinic hospital's medical team gave Arroyo cardiopulmonary resuscitation or CPR.
Once they had got a pulse, they then rushed Arroyo to the intensive care unit where he was hooked on a life-support system.
At around 11:00 p.m (Wednesday) in London, or around 7 a.m. in Manila, a medical consultant briefed Arroyo's girlfriend, Grace Ibuna, and friends of the family about the continuing deterioration of the congressman's health, and the likelihood that he may not survive the night.
At around 2:15 a.m. (Thursday) in London, Ibuna and their friends were called in again and were told of the worsening condition of Arroyo.
According to the source, Ibuna and their friends were told that the clinic would not withdraw their support, but that they had reached the limit of treatment.
Doctors finally declared that Arroyo was dead at around 2:33 a.m. on January 26.
His death certificate was issued around 7:30 a.m. London time.
The death certificate mentioned multiple organ failure, sepsis, pneumonia, and chronic liver disease as the causes of death. -
